10.05-06Leavenworth Climbing Weekend
Join the MHO rock jocks for a weekend at this rock-climbing gem of the Pacific Northwest! Admire the fall foliage on the Larch trees as you experience some of the best "traditional" cragging in the state. Basic climbing proficiency (tie knots belaying skills) are preferred. You'll need to be in adequate condition to hike up to 4 miles up hill with a pack.

Enjoy the fall colors of Washington as we drive to the other side of the cascades for a moderate effort day hike. We’ll hike up to a pass with awesome views on both sides. Plan to enjoy lunch under the sun (hopefully) on some huge rocks as we take in the beauty that surrounds us.

10.27Merritt Lake Hike
8 am to 6 pm
Merritt Lake is a wonderful late-fall hike situated just east of Stevens Pass. It is noted for its fall color, so make sure to bring your camera! With an elevation gain of 2,000 feet and a roundtrip distance of about 6 miles, this is a moderate hike. We will celebrate our climb with lunch at the lake.

10.27Bridal Veils Falls Family Hike
9 am to about 4 pm
A day-hike of moderate ability for children and adults. A beautiful waterfall flows out of Lake Serene above the cascades below the rugged east wall of Mount Index at the end of a safe trail up the east side of Bridal Veil Creek. Children will be fascinated as they look up a 100-foot rock face to see the streams of water that make up the bridal veil pouring directly beside them.
